Naadam Festival and stay at Lake Khuvsgul
Meet reindeer 8 days tour

For Mongolians, "Naadam", which is held in July at the height of summer, is the most memorable event. From the 11th to the 15th, it will be a holiday, and songs praising the power in each region of Mongolia, the voices of children riding racehorses enthusiastic about the horses, the sounds of bows and arrows, and the sounds of long songs echo. The opening ceremony of Naadam will be held at the central stadium in the southern part of Ulaanbaatar at 11:00 am on July 11. From the entrance of the stadium, a volunteer in full dress enters on a horse. In the beginning, volunteers on nine white horses are raising white flags. This flag has been used in national ceremonies since the time of Genghis Khan and is made of 99 white horse hairs. After the volunteers set nine flags on a circular platform in the center of the stadium, the president gave a ceremony and the national anthem began to be performed.

Lake Khuvsgul is located in the northwestern part of Mongolia at the foot of the East Sayan Mountains near the Russian border. At an altitude of 1,645 meters above sea level, it has a long north-south shape, with a length of 136 kilometers, a width of 36.5 kilometers, and a maximum water depth of 262 meters. "Lake Khuvsgul", which is close to the Russian border, is surrounded by coniferous forests and its natural landscape is similar to that of Switzerland and Scandinavian forests in the European Alps. The size is the second in Mongolia and the depth is the largest. There is a reindeer nomad "Tsaatan" near Lake Khuvsgul. Tsaatan refers to "people with reindeer". The dwelling is mobile, but unlike the "ger" it has a conical shape. The river water that flows out of the lake leads to Lake Baikal in Russia. You can enjoy plant observation, trekking, horse riding and fishing.

First day of Naadam : Depending on the program of the time, you can enjoy a military parade and a traditional costume show "Deeltei Mongol" event in the central square. The first round of archery and ankle bone shooting competition takes place at the Central Stadium.

Enjoy traditional folk music and live dance performances from 6pm.

Naadam Festival Day / 100th Anniversary : At 9 o'clock Central Square, nine knights of Genghis Khan ride horses to carry the State Nine Banner and take them to Naadam Stadium. 10:00 Naadam Opening Ceremony.

After the official opening ceremony at the stadium, tour Naadam Stadia and enjoy three masculine games: wrestling, archery and ankle shooting.

Lunch: Mongolian food lunch in the stadium (Khuushuur) During the Nadam season, the typical Mongolian food "Khuushuur" and Mongolian traditional food Khorkhog.

In the afternoon, drive to a racetrack on the outskirts of Ulaanbaatar. Watch horse racing. After that, I moved to a tourist camp on the outskirts of Ulaanbaatar .

Participated in the Naadam party.

Lake Khuvsgul

After breakfast, fly from Ulaanbaatar to Murun city.
Upon arrival, we will have lunch at a restaurant in Murun. After lunch, Hovsgol Lake will head to the tourist camp of the sides. (Approximately 180 km) After arriving at the tourist camp, you can enjoy fishing and sightseeing on the lake at Khuvsgul Lake.

Day 5

Lake Khuvsgul

 

 

Stayed on the shore of Lake Khuvsgul.
Head to the Tsaatan family in a private car (horse). (1:30 at about 30 km) Lunch is a lunch.
We will shoot at the Tsaatan family. Visit reindeer and visit Tsaatan families. You can also take a commemorative photo by riding a yak. During the journey, we will visit the nomadic Ger of the Khuvsgul Lake region. (About 1 visit during the period) Enjoy handmade cheese.

Afternoon: Take a private car to the tourist camp.

Stayed on the shores of Lake Khuvsgul.
Take an optional tour.
Sightseeing on Lake Khuvsgul by boat (1-2 hours, extra charge)

Day 7

Ulaanbaatar

After breakfast, drive to the airport in Murun city.
Afternoon: Return to Ulaanbaatar by domestic flight with a guide by air . After arriving in Ulaanbaatar, tour the city. Gandan tegchilen Temple, Shukhbaatar Square, Zaysan Hill, Shopping. We will move to Zaha (Nomin Department Store) where you can find rock salt and dairy products at the Tsagaan Alt store where felt products are sold.

  • The above charges are for one person. Depending on the number of participants, you can participate with a great rate plan.
  • You will be stay in a standard 3-4 star hotels in Ulaanbaatar and a tourist ger camp , shower and other useful services (2-4 people per ger) in the countryside. 
  • If one person uses one hotel room, an additional charge of 40USD per night will be charged.
  • There is an additional charge for single use of Tourist Camp Ger. It is 25 USD per night.

When applying for a tour, please make a reservation at least 15 days before departure (excluding holidays). If you apply for a tour after that, we will reply to the customer once before making arrangements, and we will start making arrangements after confirming that we can contact you reliably. If the departure date is 7 days or later, we will do our best to accommodate you, so please contact us. (Please note that the cancellation charge will be charged 10 days in advance.) Price remarks

 

This course is for 2 people or more, but it is possible for 1 person to apply. In that case, an additional charge for one person and an additional charge for a single room will be incurred. Please inquire about the price for one person before applying.

Method of payment

After making a reservation by email and phone, we will send a travel confirmation and invoice to your email . After confirming the invoice, you will transfer 50% of the travel fee to our Mongolian bank account. After confirming payment, it will be an official reservation. The 50% balance will be transferred to our bank account before the start of your trip.

 Transportation All clients will be met at the airport on arrival and taken to the airport for departure. We provide vehicles and a driver according to the size of group ( tour bus,sedan, van or jeep).
Guide All group tour arrangements ( groups of two or more) include the exclusive service of English (or Russian, Japanese, Spanish and German) speaking guide. Guides for other languages are available upon request.
