Getting to Mongolia: how to plan your flights

Mongolia's gateway is Chinggis Khaan International Airport, about 50 km from central Ulaanbaatar. After arrival, travelers are usually met by their guide and transfer to the city by private vehicle.

Main routes

• Direct flights: MIAT Mongolian Airlines and other carriers operate between Japan and Mongolia. Operating days and routes change by season and year, so please check the latest schedule.
• Via Seoul (Incheon): many connections are available from major airports, which gives a wide choice of departure cities.

The summer peak around Naadam fills up quickly, so book early.

Depending on your arrival and departure times, tour start and end points can be set at the airport.
