Chinggis Khaan Statue Theme Park and 13th Century Village National Park

Sightseeing Information Optional Tours Package Tours
Chinggis Khaan Statue Theme Parkis located on a hill above the Tuul River, 54 km east of Ulaanbaatar, surrounded by beautiful natural scenery. The memorial site, known as Tsonjin Boldog, shares the history of that era. The park covers 212 hectares, and a 30 m tall horse statue rises at its center on a circular pedestal 12 m high and 30 m in diameter. The recreation area, including the Khan's museum, exhibition hall, restaurant, bar, souvenir shops and conference hall, is located in the middle of the horse statue. The visionary Khan holds a golden whip in his right hand. Visitors take the elevator inside the statue hall up to the rear of the horse, pass through the chest and neck to reach the horse's head, and enjoy views of the whole theme park and the surrounding nature through the observation windows. More than 200 gers surround the statue, and their interiors are furnished in a modern style. The layout of the ger hotel is designed in the shape of the ancient livestock brands used by Mongol tribes in the 13th century.

13th Century Village National Park of Mongolia
See the great Chinggis Khaan equestrian statue, completed in June 2008. The 13th Century Village is divided into a nomad village, a culture village, a shaman village and more, where you can see how Mongolians lived in that era and try making dairy products in the nomad village. The village recreates 13th-century Mongolia as a small kingdom so that visitors can experience the lifestyle of that time in a real setting. Here you can dine with the king and queen, visit the nobles, learn how to write in the Mongolian script, and try playing beautiful natural sounds on the morin khuur, the horse-head fiddle made with horsetail hair. You can also experience annual events such as making felt for nomads' gers, sheep shearing, wool processing, the sacred ceremony of honoring the banner, a traditional wedding, and the Three Manly Games festival. It is about 100 km and 2 hours from Ulaanbaatar. Ideal for a day trip!!
Inside the village, staff dressed in 13th-century costume guide you through a world just like the time of Chinggis Khaan. You can watch how Mongolian national costumes are made, learn how to write the Mongolian Uyghur script, and see the culture and lifestyle of the shamanism that was mainly practiced in 13th-century Mongolia. Feel as if you have traveled back in time and touch Mongolia's history. On this day shamanists offer food and drink in deep gratitude to their gods and worship them. There are several gers in the shaman village.
They are the Uriankhai shaman, the Shariin shaman, the Buriad shaman, the Khalkhiin shaman and the Darkhadiin shaman.
1. Central area: nine commanders, generals and military officers manage state affairs and the use of military force.
2. Western area: the king and the western nobles live here and manage the national finances and cultural affairs.
3. Eastern area: the king and the consorts of the eastern nobles live here, and the eastern nobles manage foreign policy and trade.
