Highlights and Information

Visit Lake Naiman Nuur (Eight Lakes) and the Karakorum Ruins

Bubble Tent Stay, Horse Riding Tour 8 Days

Naiman Nuur (Eight Lakes)

The lakes were formed by volcanic eruptions and are part of the Naiman Nuur Nature Reserve. The largest of these lakes is Lake Shireet. Walking courses of 5–10 km are done around the eight lakes. Visit nomad homes around the very beautiful lakes surrounded by mountains and forest to see their lifestyle, and horse riding trekking is also possible, getting in touch with Mongolian culture, history and customs.

World Heritage Karakorum

In central Mongolia, the cultural landscape area called the Orkhon Valley holds many ruins and historic sites, the most famous being the Karakorum ruins. When the Mongol and Turkic nomads who had long lived in Mongolia founded their states, they chose the Orkhon River basin as the site of their capital. Chinggis Khaan too ordered that the capital of the Mongol Empire be established at that place.
